This a very tight game with sides level at the break on a scoreline of 0-11 to 2-5 and then in the second half we scored 1-11to 0-13. The table read after four rounds reads as follows: Feenagh/Kilmeedy 8 points +55, Monagea 4 points +15, Tournfulla 4 points + 3, Caherline 4 points -3, Dromcollogher/Broadford 4 points -38, AK Desmonds no points -32. Sam McElligott of Caherline and Jack Pierce of Dromcollogher/Broadford exchanged points and then Damien Burke of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points to give us a lead of two points. Conor Martin of Caherline scored the first goal of the game with 11 minutes gone in the game to lead by a point and then Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/Broadford replied with a point to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game. Caherline scored the next two points to take lead for second time during the break and these points came from Paraic Wixted and Hugh Murrane and then Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next four points to take the lead by two points and with two of these points came from Keith Lacey and the other points came from Denis Donegan and Damien Burke. Hugh Murrane of Caherline scored the second goal of the game to lead by a point with 26 minutes gone in the game and then Keith Lacey scored the next point for Dromcollogher/Broadford to bring sides back level terms for the third time during the game. This was a game two havles with Patrickswell leading by 0-5 to 0-1 and the second half they outscored us by 1-6 to 0-4. U14 All County Hurling Championship Division 3 Semi-Final:
Blackrock 6-12 Dromcollogher/Broadford 2-05
This was a very difficult game against a strong Blackrock team. They lead by 3-06 to 0-04 at half-time and continued their dominance in the second half. The boys gave a gallant effort throughout the game and just came up against a stronger opposition. on behalf of management, we would like to thank the boys for their hard work throughout the year. It’s a bitter pill to swallow to get beat in a county Semi-Final but heads up and onwards and upwards for this bunch of lads. We must now change our focus on the All-County Division 1 Football Semi-Final v St. Patricks next Saturday 14th in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale at 1pm.
