County Premier Junior A Hurling Championship Group 1 Round 1
Dromcollogher/Broadford 3-23 Tournafulla 4-16
This was a game of two halves with Tournafulla leading by 2-13 to 1-06 at the break with our goal in the first half coming from Keith Lacey and in the second half we out scored Tournafulla by 2-16 to 2-3 with our goals coming from Kieth Lacey and Brian Stack, to give us victory on the night.  The table after one round reads as follows: Feenagh/ Kilmeedy +14, Caherline 2 points +6, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points +4, Tournafulla no points -4, AK Desmonds no points -6, Monagea no points -14.  Our next fixture is against Feenagh/ Kilmeedy, on this coming Saturday August 10th, in Newcastle West, at 7pm, Referee: Donnacha O’Callaghan (Feohanagh/Castlemahon). Jamie Dore of Tournafulla scored the first point of the game and then Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/Broadford replied with a goal with a minute after a great pass from Darragh Stack to give us a lead of two points. Tournafulla scored the next four points of the game and these points coming from Jack Sheehan, Michael Collins, James Brouder and Anthony Hartnett to lead by two points and then Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points to bring the sides back on level terms for the second time during the game and these points came from James Molyneaux and Keith Lacey. Eoin Collins of Tournafullla and Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher/Broadford exchanged points and then Tom McCarthy of Tournafulla and Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/Broadford exchanged points. Tournafulla scored the next 1-4 of the game to lead by seven points with the goal coming from Eoin Collins and with two these points coming from Eoin Collins and the other points came from Tom McCarthy and Eoin MacMahon and then Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/Broadford to leave six points between the sides. James Brouder of Tournafulla scored the next goal of the game to lead by nine points with 31 minutes gone in the game and then Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/Broadford to leave eight between the sides at end of the half. Brian Stack of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the first of the second half to leave seven points between and then James Brouder of Tournafulla scored his second goal of the game to leave ten points between the sides with 31 minutes gone in the game. Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points, and these points came from Damien Burke and Kevin Noonan to leave 8 points between the sides and then Jamie Dore of Tournfulla scored the next point of the game to leave nine points between the sides. Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points coming from Micheál Brosnan and Keith Lacey to leave seven points between the sides. St. Kierans 1-14 Dromcollogher/Broadford 0-14
This was a very tight game played down in Dromcollogher on Wednesday with a goal between the teams at end of the game after five rounds the table reads as follows: Adare 8 points +14, ABK Desmonds 7 points +29,Shannon Gaels/ Athea 6 points -4, St. Kieran’s 5 points -3, Newcastle West 2 points -35, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points +1. The above club would like the panel of players and the management of Maurice McCarthy and John O’Kelly.
St. Kieran’s scored the first six points of the game and then Dromcollogher/Broadford replied with the next four points and these points came from Ollie Stokes, John Lenihan, Aaron Leahy and Ryan Sheehan to leave two points between the sides. St. Kierans scored the next point of the game to lead three points and then Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points, and these points came from Ryan Sheehan and Shane Geary to leave a point between the sides.
