Dromcollogher/Broadford 3-17 Adare 1-10

This was a very one-sided game with Dromcollogher/Broadford winning by 13 points on the night played down in Dromcollogher on Sunday night, our next is against Newcastle West, on today Wednesday July 17th in Newcastle West at 7.30pm, Referee: Kieran Guina (Feohanagh/Castlemahon). Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the first 1-4 of the game without reply with 1-1 coming from Adam O’Kelly and the other points came from John Lenihan and Gerard O’Callaghan and then Adare replied with a point to each six points the sides. Ollie Brudair of Dromcollogher/Broadford to leave seven points between the sides and then Adare scored the next four points to leave two points between the sides.  Adam O’Kelly of Dromcollogher/Broadford to leave three points between the sides and then Adare scored the pointed free to leave two points. Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next 1-2 of the goal with goal coming Aaron Leahy and the points came from John Lenihan and Ryan Sheehan to leave seven points sides at end of the half. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/Broadford 2-7 to Adare 0-6.

Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the first three points of the second half to leave by ten points with two of these points came from Adam O’Kelly and the other point came from Ollie Brudair and then Adare scored another pointed free to leave nine points between the sides. Adam O’Kelly scored the next goal of the game for Dromcollogher/Broadford to leave 12 points and then Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next five points and these points came from Adam O’Kelly, Rory O’Dell, Ronan O’Sullivan, Ryan Sheehan and Conor Mackessy to leave 17 points between the sides. Adare scored the next point to leave 16 points between the sides. Aaron Leahy scored the next point for Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next point to leave 17 points between the sides and then Adare scored the goal of the game to leave 14 points between the sides. Aaron Leahy scored the next point of the game for Dromcollogher/Broadford to leave 15 points between the sides and then Adare scored the last two points of the game to leave 13 points between the sides at end of the game. On Thursday evening last week welcomed Mungret/St. Paul’s to Dromcollogher to play round 4 in U14 football championship, this was a game we needed to win to qualify for the knockout stages. Our boys were up for the challenge from the off, playing some great football in the first half, we went in at the break just 2 points up after around 80% of the possession in the first half. The boys threw off the shackles in the second Half and produced some great football finishing on a score line of 3-9 to 1-3. Panel and scorers on the night for Dromcollogher/Broadford were: C.J.
