U14 All County Hurling Championship Division 3A Round 4
Our hurlers travelled to Croagh on Thursday nightlast to take on the home side in the 4th round of the championship. After the disappointment of our boys being defeated by Belville Gaels were eager to make amends. The first half of the game was a very entertaining one with some great hurling on display. A few players of the Dromcollogher/Broadford team got a few positional changes on the night to be fair they reacted admirable. The players battled well all over the field with the home side scoring 2-4 to Dromcollogher/Broadford 1-6. Our boys came in at half-time really hurting having hurled reasonably well and were down by a point. With the management reshuffling the team again for the second half. From the goalie up to the full foreword line including the substitutions the boys really upped their performance a100 per cent. It really showed how much the boys wanted to win this game. Our boys outscored the home side 1-4 to 3 points in the second half. The final score at the full-time whistle was the home side with 2-7 to Dromcollogher/Broadford 2-10. Thanks to the referee Séamus Hayes on the night and a big thank you to our travelling supporters.
