County U21 B Football Championship Final
Dromcollogher/Broadford 2-13 Ahane 3-04.
This was a game of two halves with Ahane leading at the break by 3-4 to 1-5 with our goal coming from Séan Madden and then in the second half we scored 1-8 to no score with Brian Ahern scoring 1-12 in the game with 1-10 all from play, to give us victory for the first time since 2019. The above club would like to thank the manager Garrett Noonan, selectors Michael O’Sullivan, Danny Corkery and Micheal Fahy and Kitman Garry Noonan and the panel of brilliant players led by Jack Shanahan Captain.
Sean Madden of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored first goal of the game inside the first minute of the game and then Ahane scored the next 1-1 of the game with the goal coming from Andrew O’Leary and the point from Mark Donnellan to lead by a point with 5 minutes gone in the game. Brian Ahern scored the next pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game and then Ahane scored the next 1-1 of the with goal coming from Mark Donnellan and the point came from Craig O’Connell to lead by four points. Brian Ahern of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to leave three points between the sides and then Ahane scored the next 1-1 to lead by seven points with 25 minutes gone in the game and the goal came from Adam O’Connell and the point came from Andrew O’Leary. Brian Ahern scored the next three points to leave four points between the sides and then Mark Donnellan scored the last point of the game for Ahane to leave five points between sides at the break. To leave at half-time Ahane 3-4 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-5.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next five points of the game with four these points came from Brian Ahern coming from Robbie Lynch to bring sides back on level terms for the second and final time during the game. Dromcollogher/Broadford 4-06 Cappagh/Rathkeale 1-05
This was a game of two halves with Cappagh/ Rathkeale leading at the break by 1-4 to 0-2 and We outscored Cappagh/ Rathkeale by 4-4 to 0-1 with two of our goals coming from Brian Ahern and the other goals from Micheál Fahy and Alan power to win by 10 points and to book their place in the final against Ahane, on last Saturday afternoon on December 30th, in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale.
Cappagh/Rathkeale scored the first two points of the game and then Brian Ahern of Drom/ Broadford scored a point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave a point between sides. Then Cappagh/Rathkeale scored the next 1-1 of the game to leave five points between the sides and then Robbie Lynch of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next point to leave four points between the sides. Cappagh/Rathkeale scored the next point before the break to leave five sides at end of the half. To leave the score at half-time Cappagh/Rathkeale 1-4 to Dromcollogher/Broadford 0-2.
Dromcollogher/Broadford scored two goals inside the first three minutes of the second half coming from Micheál Fahy and Brian Ahern to give us the lead of a point and then Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next four points and with of two these points coming from Brian Ahern and the other points coming from Micheál Fahy and Tommy Ryan to lead by five points with 45 minutes gone in the game. Cappagh/Rathkeale scored the last point of the game to leave four points between the sides and then Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the last two goals of the game to win by 10 points and these goals came from Brian Ahern his second of the game and Alan Power after a great fisted pass from Micheál Fahy and to book our place in the final against Ahane, this game was played on last Saturday, in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale.
