This was a game of two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading the break by 1-7 to 0-4 with our goal coming Alan Power and Cappagh/ Rathkeale out scored us by 1-09 to 1-01 to win by 2 points and to book their place in the final against Ahane, on this coming Friday night December 22nd, more details during the week, our second goal came from Brian Ahern. The above club would like to thank the management team of Garrett Noonan, Michael O’Sullivan, Mike Fahy and Danny Corkery and the panel of players led by Jack Shanahan captain.
Alan Power of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first point of the game and then Cappagh/ Rathkeale replied with next two points to lead by a point. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points with all four points coming from Brian Ahern and then we scored our first goal of the game with 21 gone in the game coming from Alan Power to give us a lead of six points. Cappagh/ Rathkeale replied with next point to leave five points between the sides and then Michael Fahy replied with next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to put six points between the sides lead once again. Cappagh/ Rathkeale scored the next point of the game to leave five points between the sides once again and then Brian Ahern scored the last point of the half for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave six points between the sides at end of the half. To leave score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-7 to Cappagh/ Rathkeale 0-4.
Brian Ahern scored the second goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give us a lead of nine points inside the first minute of the second half of the game and then Cappagh/ Rathkeale scored the next 1-4 without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave two points with 48 minutes gone in the game. Brian Ahern of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to leave three points between the sides with 50 minutes gone in the game and then Cappagh / Rathkeale scored the five points with reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave two points between the sides at end of the game to give them victory and to book their place in the final against Ahane on this coming Friday night December 22nd, more details during the week. To leave the score at full-time Cappagh/ Rathkeale 1-13 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-8.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Annual Christmas Draw:
In early 2024 we hope to commence a major development at our club grounds starting with Phase 1 which is an all-weather fully lit Astroturf pitch which will cater for boys and girls from the age of 5 up to adult and will also be used by our local schools and other clubs. While we have raised a significant amount towards this development, we still have a bit to go. With your help we can get over the line.
We have added an extra €1,000 overall first prize fund this year.
