Dromcollogher/Broadford​3-13 Knockaderry​​​2-15

This was a very tight game between two evenly matched teams with two our goals coming from Ronan O’Sullivan and the other goals coming from John Lenihan, we won by a point after an epic battle with Knockaderry to complete the double in the U17’S in both hurling and Football and the above club would like to thank the management team of John O’Kelly and George O’Sullivan and the brilliant panel of players led by Ronan O’Sullivan captain.
Gerard O’Callaghan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first point of the game from a free and then Knockaderry replied with a point from a free. Ronan O’Sullivan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point and then Knockaderry replied with the next point to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game. Ronan O’Sullivan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first goal of the game with 11 minutes gone in the game to give us a lead of three points and then Knockaderry scored the next three points of the game to bring the sides back on level terms for the third time during the game. Ronan O’Sullivan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to give us back the lead once again and then Knockaderry scored the next five points of the game to lead four points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points with three of these points came from Gerard O’Callaghan and the other point coming from Naoise O’Connor to leave the sides back on level terms for the fifth time during the game. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-7 to Knockaderry 0-10.
Knockaderry scored the first point of the second half to leave a point between the sides and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-1 of the game with another great goal coming from Ronan O’Sullivan his second of the game and the point came from Naoise O’Connor to lead by a goal with 34 minutes gone in the game. Knockaderry scored their first goal of the game with 36 minutes gone in the game to bring sides back on level terms the sixth time during the game and then Gerard O’Callaghan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with next point to put a point between the sides. Knockaderry scored the next point of the game to sides back on level terms for the for the 7th time during the game and then Gerard O’Callaghan scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give back the lead by a point. Knockaderry scored the next two points of the game to take the lead by a point and then John Lenihan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the third goal of the game with 45 minutes gone in the game to give us a lead of two points. Knockaderry scored their second goal of the game to lead by a point with 47 minutes gone in the game and then Naoise O’Connor scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring sides back on level terms for the 9th time during the game. Knockaderry scored the next point of the game to take the lead by a point once again and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last two points of the game to win by a point and complete the double in the U17’S in both hurling and Football and these point came from Diarmuid Reidy and Gerard O’Callaghan. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-13 to Knockaderry 2-15.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Annual Christmas Draw:
In early 2024 we hope to commence a major development at our club grounds starting with Phase 1 which is an all-weather fully lit Astroturf pitch which will cater for boys and girls from the age of 5 up to adult and will also be used by our local schools and other clubs. While we have raised a significant amount towards this development we still have a bit to go. With your help we can get over the line.
We have added an extra €1000 overall first prize fund this year.
