This was a game two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading at half-time by 1-10 to 0-7, but then in the second half we outscored Blackrock by 2-14 to 0-3 with our goals coming from Sean Madden and Denis Donegan and the table after four rounds reads as follows: Mungret/ St. Paul’s 8 points +44, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 7 points +29, Bruff 5 points +7, Doon 4 points + 23, Rathkeale 0 points -31, Blackrock 0 points -72, our last game in the group stages Junior A Hurling Championship is against Mungret/ St. Paul’s on weekending September 24th.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first three points of the game, and these points came from Brian Stack, Damien Burke and Kevin Noonan and then Blackrock scored the next two points of the game both coming from Paudie Lawlor. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points of the game, and these points came from: James Molyneaux and Keith Lacey and then Blackrock scored the next two points to leave a point between the sides and these points came from Sean Murphy and Paudie Lawlor. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to lead by three points and both of these points came from Keith Lacey and then Paudie Lawlor scored the next point for Blackrock to leave two points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next nine points with reply to lead by 15 points with 6 of these points coming from Keith Lacey and two of these coming from Kevin Noonan and the other point came from Denis Donegan and then Paudie Lawlor of Blackrock and Denis Donagan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points to leave 16 points between the sides once again. Jack Pierce of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last point of the game to give us victory on the day by 23 points to book our place in the Quarter Finals of the Junior A Hurling Championship.
