We lost to Glenroe on a scoreline of 7-15 to 2-14, with our goals on the night coming from Brian O’Callaghan and Ronan O’Sullivan.

This was very much one-sided game with Dromcollogher/ Broadford been the much better and stronger team on the night with our goals coming from Sean Ryan and Paddy Ryan both coming in the first half of the game.
Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the first four points of the game with first two points both coming from Tommy Ryan both from 45m and then the next two points came his brother Paddy Ryan both from play and then Ballysteen scored the next two points to leave two points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 2-1 with our goals coming from Séan Ryan with 16 minutes gone in the game and Paddy Ryan with 23 minutes gone in the game and the points came from Paddy Ryan and Aaron Leahy to leave 10 points between the sides and then Ballysteen scored the last point of the half to leave nine points between the sides at the break. To leave score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-6 to Ballysteen 0-03.
Michael Pierce scored the first point of the second half for Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored to put ten points between the sides and then Ballysteen scored the next point coming from 45m to leave nine points between the sides once again. U13 All County Hurling Championship Division 3A Round 6
On Thursday night last our hurlers entertained Askeaton/ Ballysteen/ Kilcornan in round 6 of the championship. In the first few minutes of this game both sides were guilty of a few wides. The game was very tight all through the first half with some serious battles all over the field with our boys coming out on top at the break on a scoreline of 2-2 to 0-2. The second half was similar to the first with some physical battles around the field, our defenders were excellent on the night including our goalkeeper to keep the visiting team to a score of 1-2 for the whole game. With our midfielders and forwards working hard during the whole game finished with a scoreline of 3-4. The final score on the night was Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3-4 to Askeaton/ Ballysteen/ Kilcornan 1-2. With all our games concluded in the group stages of the championship with drawing one game and winning the rest of them, putting us on top spot which qualifies us into a county semi-final in a few weeks. On that night we were honoured to have one the legends of limericks 1973 team the full back the one and only Pat Hartigan. He gave our boys a few words of wisdom and encouragement and told them they were fine hurlers and keep up the good work. He then stood in for photo with the group, after the boys singing a few verses of laws song, he overwhelmed with song he never heard it before. On behalf of the management, we would like to thank Pat Hartigan for his time and photos. Thanks to the referee on the night was: Gerald McCarthy.
