This was a very tight game with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading at the break by 1-3 to 0-05 with our goal coming from Cillian Fahy inside the first twenty seconds of the game and then in the second half we down by 0-10 to 1-4 and then James Molyneaux scored our second goal of the game with 45 minutes gone in the game to bring sides back on level terms and then we scored the last two points coming from James Molyneaux and Cillian Fahy. The table reads after the first two rounds: Gerald Griffins 4 points +30, Mungret/ St. Paul’s 4 points +29, Rathkeale 2 points +28, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points -6, Pallasgreen no points -31, Glin no points -50. Our next Football Championship is against Gerald Griffins on weekending 20th August.
Cillian Fahy scored the first goal of the game after twenty seconds gone in the game after a long ball in from Brian Ahern and then Eoin Kelly of Rathkeale replied with a point to leave two points between the sides. Tommy Ryan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored his first ever Championship in his second game for the club to leave three points between the sides and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points coming from James Molyneaux and Brian Ahern (mark) to leave five points between the sides. Rathkeale scored the last four points of the half to leave a point between the sides at the break and these points came from Gary Enright, Aaron Hogan free, Andrew Meade and Jack Hennessy. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-3 to Rathkeale 0-5.
Rathkeale scored the first four points of the second half with two points each coming from the following players: Eoin Kelly and Andrew White two frees and then Brian Ahern of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Andrew White exchanged pointed frees to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last two points on the game and these points came from James Molyneaux from a 45m and Cillian Fahy which was a fisted point to leave two points between the sides at end of the game and to give us victory over Rathkeale scored and give us our first two points of the year in the Championship. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-6 to Rathkeale 0-10.

To Limerick Senior Hurlers management team led by John Kiely and the panel of players, against Galway, Limerick defeated Galway on a scoreline of 2-24 to 1-18 after a great performance especially in the last ten minutes of the first half and in all of the second half, in the All-Ireland Hurling Championship Semi-Final and the best of luck against Kilkenny, on Sunday June 23rd, at 3.30pm, in Croke Park, Dublin, Please Support the Limerick Senior Hurlers.
