This was a very tight game with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading at the break by 0-6 to 0-4, with our goal in the second half coming from Sean O’Sullivan and the winner came from James Molyneaux from pointed free deep in injury time to give us victory over Mungret/ St. Paul’s. The table after three rounds read as follows: Gerald Griffins 6 points, Mungret/ St. Paul’s, Rathkeale, Dromcollogher/ Broadford all 4 points, Pallasgreen and Fr. Casey’s both on no points.
Micheál Brosnan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Colm Quilligan of Mungret/ St. Paul’s exchanged points early in the game and then Derry McCarthy of Drom/ Broadford and Alan Hutton exchanged points on two occasions to leave sides on level terms for the third time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points, and these points came from Jack Pierce, Cillian Fahy and Derry McCarthy to give a lead of three points and then Darragh Bridgeman of Mungret/ St/ Paul’s, to leave two points between the sides just before the break to leave two points between the sides at end of the half. John Hutton of Mungret/ St. Paul’s scored the first point of the second half to leave a point between the sides and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-1 of the game with the goal coming from Séan O’Sullivan and the point came from Damien Burke to give us a lead of five points. Mungret/ St. Paul’s scored the next five with 4 points coming from John Hutton and the other point came from Brendan Giltenane to bring sides back on level terms for the fourth time in the day with 62 minutes gone in the game and then after a great run from Derry McCarthy he won a free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford deep in injury time and James Molyneaux scored the resulting free to give us victory over Mungret/ St. Paul’s by a point. This was a game of two halves with St. Kieran’s leading by 1-6 to 1-5 with our goal coming from Kenny Lynch at end of the half and then in the second half St. Kieran’s scored 2-7 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-5.
St. Kieran’s scored the first point of the game and then Tommy Ryan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with a point. St. Kieran’s scored the next three points and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-3 of the game with the goal coming from Kenny Lynch and with two points coming from Tommy Ryan with from a sideline ball and the other point coming from Brian O’Callaghan to give us the lead of a goal. St. Kieran’s scored the next 1-2 of the game to lead by lead by two points and then Tommy Ryan scored another pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave a point between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time St. Kieran’s 1-6 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-5.

U13 Hurling Notes
On Thursday night last our hurlers travelled to Kildimo to take on the home side in their last group game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford got the first goal of the game, Kiildimo/ Pallaskenry dominated most of the first half with the home side up 2 goals at half time. Our boys improved their performance in the second half but were up against a very strong Kildimo/ Pallaskenry side ran out winners of 2-7 to 5-7. The list of players were as follow: B. Lenihan, B. Gore, M. McCarthy, P. O’Sullivan, A. Cussen, O. Stokes, C. O’Callaghan, S. O’Flynn, C. Burke, C. Boyce, C. McGarry, C. Curtin, D. Boyce, T. O’Flynn. L. Wright, S. Pierce, A. Pierce, T Clarson D. O’Reilly. As a result, our boys have qualified for the county shield semi-finals against Monaleen. With the footballers finished the group stages also have finished top of the group which they now have to play Kilmallock in the county championship Semi-Final.
