The Dillon Quirke Foundation and the great work it does to help GAA and other sports clubs conduct cardiac screening for their young players will feature on RTÉ Nationwide tomorrow evening, Friday February 16th, at 7pm.

The Dillon Quirke foundation was set up by the family of former Clonoulty Rossmore and Tipperary hurler, Dillon Quirke, who died of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) in August 2022 while captaining his club in a championship match against Kilruane McDonaghs in Semple Stadium.

The aim of the foundation is to provide cardiac screening, delivered by Advanced Medical Services, in as many sports clubs as possible in Ireland with the aim of reducing the incidence of Sudden Adult Syndrome.
