Club 3 Year Plan:
Wednesday March 27th is the next big date for your diary as we have the second Open Night for our club’s 3 Year Plan. Our focus groups cover the following areas: 1) Coaching & Games; 2) Schools; 3) Facilities; 4) Recruitment & Retention; 5) Communications; 6) Social & Fundraising. Each focus group should be meeting up and discussing their ideas and suggestions, to come up with their recommendations for March 27th. Now is the time to bring your thoughts to each group so please make contact with any of the groups as they are open to all and we welcome all ideas. We hope to have a large crowd for the Open Night so put a reminder in your diary.
Membership:
The deadline for membership to be paid is March 31st. It is vital that all players are paid up and registered. If you sustain a serious injury, you will not be covered by the Player Injury Scheme. Membership of the club also benefits those looking for tickets for Limerick championship matches during the year. Please contact Alan Sheerin or Breda O’Dwyer to arrange payment.
Limerick GAA Clubs Draw:
The first draw of 2019 will take place at the end of the month. Please contact your regular draw promoter or Noreen Reidy, the draw co-ordinator, to renew or enter the draw. First prize each month is €10000. Guaranteed total prize fund of €212000 for the year.
Intermediate Hurling:
Our intermediate hurlers have their first competetive outing of the year this weekend in the quarterfinal of the South Intermediate Championship v Dromin/Athlacca. See club Facebook or www.limerickgaa.ie for fixture details.
U21 Hurling:
Unfortunately last weekend we did not have sufficient numbers to fulfil our fixture so that ends our participation in the U21 championship for the year.
South Limerick U13 Development Squad:
Last Saturday we were delighted to host the South Limerick U13 Hurling Development Squad training in Croom coached by the excellent former Limerick Senior Hurling captain James Ryan. It was great to see around 40 boys from all around South Limerick training hard and we might yet see some of them in Croke Park with Limerick in a few years time! The next 2 Saturdays it is the turn for the U13 Football Development Squad training, and every 2 weeks they alternate. Training venues will vary across the South Division each weekend.
