CROOM GAA CLUB NOTES
Strictly Croom Dancing:
Croom GAA hosted a hugely successful Strictly Come Dancing fundraising event on Saturday 23rd November at the South Court Hotel Raheen, who are Croom GAA’s main sponsors, to raise vital funds to aid the completion of the exterior grounds of the GAA club .The club are once again overwhelmed by the support received within the Croom parish and beyond. We would like to sincerely thank the twenty two dancers who committed many weeks of practice and personal sacrifice to give the audience an exhilarating evening’s entertainment. To Michael O’ Donoghue our photographer on the evening who captured joyous images of a community come together, to our three judges who provided impartial and amusing commentary, and also to the many people from the club who organized and contributed to this event making it a huge success .
We would finally like to express our huge gratitude to the people of Croom and people from parishes beyond who donated to this fundraiser. The event reminds us of the huge importance to shop local and support local businesses from the sponsorship we received from local businesses. All our sponsors were displayed on the night and you can also find the list on our Strictly Croom Dancing Facebook page and the Croom GAA Facebook page. The list contains names and telephone numbers of the businesses and what they have to offer our community and beyond. Work will commence on the exterior grounds in 2020 in a phased approach but in the meantime we are closing out another joyous year for Croom GAA and look forward to what lies ahead in 2020.
AGM 2019:
The 2019 AGM will take place at the clubhouse on Monday December 30th at 8pm. All are welcome.
