CROOM GAA CLUB NOTES
Junior A Football County Final:
This is an exciting week for the town and parish of Croom as our Junior and Minor footballers are both in county final action in the next week. First up are our Junior footballers who play in the final against Monaleen this Saturday in Bruff at 2.15pm. So far this year, we have won the South League, and are unbeaten in the championship with wins in the group stage over Oola, Kilteely/Dromkeen, Crecora, and South Liberties, aswell as beating Ballybrown in the quarter and Monagea in the semifinal. Monaleen will be a step up in class over anything we have faced so far so we will need to be at our best. We hope for a very large turn out of support in Bruff. Please wear as much blue and white Croom colours and bring hats, flags, and headbands along with you as we aim to bridge the gap from our last Junior football title in 1999, which was a victory over St. Senans. County finals are special and it is for days like these that we play GAA. We would dearly love to bring the cup back to Maigueside so please be part of it, and come out and cheer on your local club!
Minor A Football County Final:
Our Minor A footballers are South champions and are unbeaten in the championship this year. They meet Adare in the Minor A final on Tuesday Nov 5th in Mick Neville Park at 7.30pm. This Minor team have played some very entertaining football and we are very excited to see them in the final. They will need to be very sharp and focused to win the title and we will all be there cheering them on. So far they have had great support and we hope to continue that trend and add to it, so please come along and lend your support. Wouldn’t it be great to have 2 county titles to celebrate? Croom Abu!
