Intermediate Hurling:
We played Dromin/Athlacca in the South Intermediate quarter final last Saturday in Ballyagran. It was a good day for hurling with no wind or rain, with soft underfoot conditions. It was a very hard fought match with both teams having their periods of dominance. Dromin/Athlacca were ahed 0.9 to 0.5 at half time, but Croom roared back into it with 2 goals and were ahead until 5 imns to go when we con ceeded a few points to go a point behind. Conor Laffan scored a free to send the game to extra time. Dromin/Athlacca started ET stronger and scored 4 unanswered points to be 4 up at the short whistle. Croom fought back but a goal and a point at the very end saw us lose on a final score of 1.23 to 3.13. This game will stand to us in our preparations for the first round o the county championship v Tournafulla on weekend April 8-11th.
