CROOM GAA CLUB NOTES
Intermediate Hurling:
This Saturday we play Na Piarsigh in round 3 of the championship at 6pm in Mungret. This is a crucial match after the long intercounty break and we’ll need to play to our best to get the win. We hope everyone form the club will come along and cheer on the team. Croom Abu!!
Junior A Football:
Last Sunday we beat Kilteely/Dromkeen in a rain soaked Fedamore by 3.11 to 0.05 and made it 2 wins from 2 so far in the championship. Athough Kilteely/Dromkeen were missing the vast majority of their team, we played very well, and it was an important win for us. We now look forward to round 3 against Crecora in Fedamore on Sunday August 25th at 12 noon.
Minors:
We have a number of hurling and football fixtures to fulfill over the coming weeks. We are awaiting fixture details which coaches will communicate to players as they are released. See club Facebook for further details.
U16s:
Last Wednesday our U16 footballers had a great win away against Shannon Gaels by 6.16 to 5.09. On Monday last we received a walkover from Adare. We have now qualified for the Division 3 shield semifinal, likely against Claughaun. We play our final U16 hurling game this Thursday August 8th away v St. Kierans at 7pm.
U14s:
Last week we lost to St. Kierans in a hurling play off to determine placings for the Division 3 shield semifinals. We will play South Liberties in that seminfianl, fixture details TBC.
U8s:
Football training this Thursday August 8th at 6.30pm.
U6s:
