CROOM GAA CLUB NOTES
Official Launch of Club Plan:
Last Tuesday we had the offical launch of our Club Plan with special guest GAA President John Horan. A full report will be on Facebook and next week’s Limerick Leader.
Junior A Football:
We won the South Junior A Football League last week beating Ballylanders on a scoreline of Croom 3.17 : 0.04. Well done to this young team who picked up the first silverware of the season on a lovely sunny evening in Bruff. Thank you to the team management and backroom. Thanks to our club sponsors the South Court Hotel & Off The Bone restaurant. Finally thanks to all our supporters, young and not so young, who came along to cheer us on. We hope to have football training on Monday nights for the Summer and all are welcome from Minors to Juniors. First round of the county c’ship is the week ending July 28th v Oola.

U14s:
Last week we beat Knockaderry/Monagea at home in hurling 6.16 : 0.05. We lost to Ballinacurra Gaels in football by 2.05 : 5.10. Upcoming fixtures: Monday 17th away v Coshlea Gaels (football), Wednesday 26th home v Newcastle West (hurling)-both games 7pm.
U12s:
Last Thursday we received a walk over from Bruff in football. This Thursday June 20th, we are away v Bruree in hurling at 6.45pm.
U10s:
Last Saturday Croom took part in Galbally’s Munster Football blitzz which had 57 teams. We played 3 games and came away with 3 wins and had some great performances beating Cashel, Monaleen A, and Ballybricken. This bunch are a promising group of players-the future is bright! The U10 panel is open to all newcomers, boys and girls. If you are living in the town-land of Croom or surrounding areas, why not get in touch via facebook and we will get back to you. We’d be delighted to see new parents and playerss join us at our new facilities. Croom Abu-be part of it!
U8s:
On Tuesday our U8s played an exhibition game among themselves for GAA President John Horan at the Club Plan launch. This Friday June 21st, we host our first hurling blitz of the year at 6.45pm with visiting teams Dromin/Athlacca/Banogue, Glenroe, and Castletown/Ballyagran. The following Friday we travel to a football blitz in Bruree at 6.45pm along with the hosts Bruff and Castletown/Ballyagran.
U6s:
Our U6s formed a guard of honour for GAA President John Horan at the Club Launch on Tuesdayand showcased their skills on the 4G pitch as he walked around touring the facilities.
