CROOM GAA CLUB NOTES
Official Launch of Club Plan:
Croom GAA are delighted to announce the offical launch of the Club’s 3 Year Plan on Tuesday June 18th from 6.30pm. We will be welcoming the President of the GAA John Horan as our special guest. The club has been working on this plan for the last few months and were kindly facilitated by Donal Fitzgibbon and Seamus Twomey.We invite everyone in the club and parish to come along and partake in this very special occasion and see what direction the club hopes to take over the coming years.
Intermediate Hurling:
Last Saturday night we played our 3rd match in the county league at home v Pallasgreen. It was a keenly contested match with Pallasgreen getting early scores to get a foothold in the game. We battled back and the second half saw us claw our way back and eventually take the lead. Pallasgreen fought back and the game was a draw. Either team could have won it in the end but in ended in a draw 0.24 to 2.18. Next saturday night we are away v Effin at 7.30pm.
Junior B Hurling:
Last Friday our Juniors lost to Dromin/Athlacca by 3.16 to 2.22. This Tuesday May 21st we are away v Garryspillane at 7.30pm and the following Tuesday May 28th we are at home v Hospital/Herbertstown at 7.30pm.
U16s:
Last week our U16s played their last championship match before the exam break losing out in hurling to Kileedy/Tournafulla 0.05 to 2.11.
U14s:
Last week, we beat Croagh/Kilfinny/Rathkeale 6.07 to 2.04 in the hurling championship. Next up is Wednesday May 22nd away v Galtee Gaels in football; Monday May 27th away Blackrock in football; Wednesday may 29th away v St. Kierans in hurling (all games 7pm).
U12s:
Last week’s football match v Knockainey was deferred due to confirmation, but this Thursday May 23rd we have hurling at home v Castletown/Ballyagran at 6.45pm.
U10s:
Last Friday our U10s took part in a football blitz in Martinstown. We played 4 matches winning them all against Galbally, Stakers (twice), and Bruree. Well done to all the players and management and thank you to the parents and supporters for coming along.
U8s:
Last Sunday morning we played Dromin/Athlacca in a challenge match in Croom. Both clubs had 2 teams and we played 6 matches. It was a lovely sunny morning and a great crowd came to support the kids. There was a great buzz around with everyone looking forward to the Limerick v Cork match that afternoon.
