WELL DONE:
Well done to our club members Cathal O’Neill and Rian O’Byrne on their recent impressive performances for Limerick and Ardscoil Rís respectively. Cathal started at half forward and contributed 4 fine points from play in Limerick’s comfortable 4-29 to 0-11 win over Kerry in the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling Cup semi final. They now meet Clare in the final in Ennis next Sunday 23rd January at 2pm in Ennis. Meanwhile earlier in the month, Rian O’Byrne impressed for Ardscoil Rís scoring 0-2 in their Dr Harty Cup quarter final win over Midleton CBS recently. They now go on to meet Thurles CBS in the semi final this Saturday 22nd January in McDonagh Park in Nenagh with a 1pm throw in.
CONDOLENCES:
The club expresses its condolences to the area family on the passing of Thomas Rea, late of Brickfield, Effin. Thomas is the late brother of Mike area our former chairman and uncle of Cillian and Orna, members of our GAA and Camogie clubs respectively. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
