JUNIOR A HURLING:
Our junior A hurlers got back to winning ways last Thursday night with a 0-21 to 1-15 win over Templeglantine under lights in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale. We traded points with Glantine in the opening minutes of the game with Darach Skelly getting us off the mark. Our lads soon settled the better and some fine points from Cathal O’Neill, Karl Moloney, Michael Bateman and one from Niall Moloney gave us an 0-8 to 0-3 at the water break. Both sides were guilty of some wides after the water break but some fine scores from Cathal, Michael and Cormac Flanagan with a response from Glantine saw us go in at half time ahead by double scores 0-12 to 0-6. The two sides traded points up until the second half water break where we led 0-17 to 0-11. Templeglantine were then thrown a lifetime with a fortunate goal to cut the deficit back to two points. However some fine scores from our subs Edwin Wixted and Brendan Power helped us over the line as it finished 0-21 to 1-15. Next up is Old Christians next Saturday in Mungret at 5.30pm. Team: Sean Keyes; Evan Moloney, Jack Dalton, Rory Hannan; Cian Leahy, Richard Murphy, Tim Moloney; Cormac Flanagan, Karl Moloney (0-1); Cathal O’Neill (0-12, 0-5f), Michael Bateman (0-3), Darach Skelly (0-1); Conor Kirby, Niall Moloney (0-1), Donnacha Connolly; Subs: Paraic O’Neill, Edwin Wixted (0-2), Brendan Power (0-1), Tom Shanahan, Colm Carey, Chris Shanahan, Padraig Byrnes, Liam Quirke, Dom O’Connor, Ciaran Humphreys, Shane O’Connor, Ger Kennedy (inj), Micheal O’Neill (inj), Fergal Carey (inj), James Conheady (inj).

UNDER 13 HURLING:
Crecora-Manister played Dromin-Athlacca on Saturday morning in Mick Neville Park in the county U13 championship final. In a massively entertaining game we played some excellent hurling and found our men easily with some great link play. At the second water break Crecora-Manister trailed by one point with approximately 13 minutes left on the clock. Our lads tried to the bitter end and unfortunately got caught with a breakaway goal and lost out by seven points eventually. Huge credit must go to the players, coaches and parents of these children as it was a great honour to get to a County final. While the result is disappointing the development and growth of these players in the last 12 months has been huge and we are confident of better days ahead. Team as follows: Sam Collins; Harry Buckley, John O’Donovan; Daniel Woods, Tommy Gore, Oisin Foster; Cian Hickey 0-1, David Holmes 1-0; John Paul Danaher, Patrick Concannon 1-0, Liam Mulqueen; Paddy O’Connell, Adam Harte. Subs: Charlie Murphy for Adam Harte, Jack Lane for John O’Donovan, Jack O’Regan for John Paul Danaher, Cillian O’Doherty for Paddy O’Connell. Pierce Griffin (Inj). Management Team: Manager: Chris Mulqueen. Coaches: Adrian Harte, Ger Hickey & Martin Concannon.
