CRECORA-MANISTER GAA CLUB NOTES
Our intermediate footballers put in a fine defensive display in the City senior football league last week as they picked up their first win with a 1-7 to 1-5 win over St Patricks. Unfortunately our lads then went down to a strong Claughaun side on a 2-11 to 0-6 scoreline this week. JUNIOR A HURLERS:

Next up is an away match against Knockaderry on Thursday 8th July at 7.30pm.

Best wishes to two local men with strong club connections taking part in separate fundraisers in the coming weeks. On Friday 2nd July, club member Ger Hickey will run a marathon in memory of his godson Jack O’Sullivan who died tragically aged 23 in February. All money raised will go to Pieta house and the link is https://gofund.me/06b6c923
Paraic O’Neill will attempt to run 210km from Galway Bay to Dublin before cycling with eight friends from Mizen Head to Malin Head as partt of ‘Length X Breath’ to raise vital funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. The challenge is in memory of his friend Cathal Scanlon of Adare who tragically passed away from CF last year at the age of 21. Paraic starts his run on 6th July and the cycle will begin on 11th July. The fundraiser link is https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/LengthxBreath
