CRECORA MANISTER GAA CLUB NOTES

UNDERAGE TRAINING:
It was fantastic to see training resuming last week starting with the under 7s, 9s, 13s and 15s. In line with government guidelines, we learnt this week that adult training can recommence next week from 10th May. Training is non-contact only and all players, coaches and parents are asked to stick to all the Covid protocols specified by the GAA.

As mentioned, the next key milestone is Monday May 10th when outdoor adult training can recommence in pods of fifteen people (including coaches). Games are not allowed and indoor facilities must remain closed. Monday June 7th is the tentative return date for adult club matches, which will be played behind closed doors.

An online Covid health declaration form should be filled out the evening before each session. Once you arrive at training, please follow all instructions given by the Covid compliance officer and head coach. Bring your own easily identifiable water bottle, do not hang around in the car park after training, use hand sanitiser. Above all else, do not attend training if you feel unwell.

LIMERICK SENIOR HURLING PANEL:
It is with great pride this week that we announce that our own Cathal O’Neill has been named on John Kiely’s 38 man Limerick senior hurling panel for the upcoming 2021 championship. Well done Cathal and best of luck from all here in the club.

CONDOLENCES:
The club would like to wish its condolences to the Cregan family of Ballymacstradeen, Manister on the passing of Alec Cregan, father of Stephen Cregan and Ethel Browne who are involved with the GAA and camogie clubs respectively and grandfather of our club footballer David Cregan. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
