CRECORA/MANISTER GAA CLUB NOTES
JUNIOR HURLERS:
Our junior A hurlers’ campaign came to an end last Saturday night 17th August after a one point defeat to Claughaun in the last round of the City junior championship. The first half was a tight and tense affair with both sides relying mainly on frees for their scores. We went in three points behind at the break, but a fine finish from Tomás Connolly after the restart left us a point ahead. However two Claughaun goals turned the game in their favour and despite some fine scores from Donnacha Connolly, Darach Skelly and Niall Moloney, our lads came up just short on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-13. Team: Stephen Keating; Dónal Murray, Niall Moloney, Tim Moloney; Cian Leahy, Steve Donohue, Conor Burke; Karl Moloney, Darach Skelly; James Conheady, Tomás Connolly, Cormac Flanagan; Richard Murphy, Ciarán Humphreys, Evan Moloney. Donnacha Connolly, Damien Kearney, Edwin Wixted, Joe Burke, Seán Keyes, Conor Kirby, Mike McCormack, Ian Donohue, Shane O’Connell. The club would like to thank the management team of Mike Boland, John Ryan and Eoin O’Callaghan along with the players for all their commitment and dedication throughout the year. We also wish all injured players a speedy recovery and hope to see them back in club colours very soon.
