Crecora/Manister GAA Club Notes:

·         On Monday our U16s have their last group match against Cappamore in Cappamore at 7pm

·         Our U12 Hurlers are in action against our neighbours Patrickswell at home at 6:45 on Monday

·         Tuesday sees our U12 Footballers face Na Piarsaigh away at 6:45

·         The U14 Footballers are in action on Thursday at home against Cappamore

·         On Friday the U12 hurlers are out again away to Ballybrown at 6:45

·         The 2nd Round of Go Games for our U10 Hurlers takes place in Effin on Friday evening against Coashlea Gaels & Blackrock.

·         On Saturday 23rd on Premier Junior Hurlers are back in Feenagh in Round 3 of the Championship where our lads face Monega.

Your support at these games is appreciated and we wish all our teams the best of luck this week.

We had a tough night out last Friday against Galbally who started the game very fast with some good early scores but in fairness to the lads they rallied well to put 7 points on the board with 2 excellent 2 pointers from Richard and went in at the break 5 points down . Unfortunately we could only manage 2 more scores in the second half while Galbally turned the screw on us with some clinical scores. The scoreline does not reflect the effort our lads put in to a man right to the end. Best wishes to Galbally for the remainder of the campaign. There are 2 rounds of hurling before our next outing against St Senan’s in round 3. We will re-group and go again.

Our Club are helping with Car Parking at the Limerick Show next Sunday. Please contact Pat Quirke if you are available to help on this club initiative.

Our Healthy Club Committee have been very busy recently and have submitted an application for the Silver Healthy Club award. Several initiatives have been completed by our local group over the past 18 months. One of these initiatives has been the building and installing of the Mini Library at the entrance to our pitch. It is a really eye catching ‘library’ and captures the inclusive nature of the work of the committee for our local community. Well done to all involved in this committee and a special word of recognition to  John Power for building and installing this Mini Library. We wish this group every success in the future and look forward to their next projects.

Our Club Golf Classic takes place on Friday September 5th in Limerick Golf Club. Teams of 3 are €240. Tee Times are morning 9-12:30 or afternoon 2-4pm. Please contact Noel Murphy or Tom O’Keefee for any further details. This event is kindly sponsored by Breeze Air.
