CLAUGHAUN GAA CLUB NOTES
Our under 14 footballers were beaten in the County semi-final by Adare on a score line of 4.11 to 4.04. The final score does not reflect the close nature of the contest all through. This team has developed into a fine outfit and we look forward with optimism to the next few years. Great credit to the management of the team for all the work they put in. A special thanks to all the supporters who turn out at each game to support the team.
The under 14 hurlers played Cois Laoi Gaels on Wednesday last and after an good game lost out on a score line of 2.11 to 6.05. Again it is great to see the lads eager to play hurling and hopefully we can build on the work done with these players.
We played two games in the County Football league last week. First up was a visit from our near neighbours, St Patricks. We won a keenly contested game on a score line of 1.12 to 0.10. We followed this up with a very convincing 1.18 to 0.05 victory away to Galbally. The footballers have one game to play in the league, a home game against Oola, and look set to qualify for the league final. The team continues its preparations for the resumption of the championship and will be hoping to build on these recent performances.
Underage Section:
Our under 10 hurlers played a very entertaining challenge on Sunday morning against Thurles. Well done to all the boys and girls who took part.

Family Fun Day:
Claughaun Underage / Senior Itas(Ladies Football) held a ‘BINGO FAMILY FUN DAY’ on Saturday last 29th June from 3-6pm in our club premises. This was a great success and thanks to the organisers and especially all those who attended.
Congratulations to both the Limerick senior and minor hurlers on winning their respective Munster finals on Sunday last.
