CLAUGHAUN GAA CLUB NOTES
Intermediate Football:
Our intermediate footballers opened their season with a County League game vs St Senan’s in Foynes on Sunday.
In wet and windy conditions the lads played some good football despite the absence of some experienced players, but ultimately fell short on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-08 with our goal comimg from Ciaran Moran. Their next game takes place this Saturday 14th March vs Galtee Gaels at 3pm in Kilbehenny Team: Gearoid Brennan, Darren Kenihan, Mark O’Halloran, Adam Koyce, Matthew Graham, Cian Graham, Padraic O’Reilly, Kyrin McGarry, Alex Kiely, Peter Garland, Jack McGarry, Aodhan Frain, Ciaran Moran, Gary Bateman, Sam Mullins. U21 Hurling:
Our U21 hurlers take on Crecora/Manister this Sunday 15th March at 12pm in Claughaun. All support would be appreciated.
Post-Primary Football:
Congratulations to Adam Koyce and Jack McGarry who were part of the St. Clement’s College team who won the LPPS LIT Senior Football final, beating Colaiste na Trocaire on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-11. Congratulations also to Shane Mullally who managed the team.
Club Lotto:
There was no winner of this week’s lotto. The numbers drawn were 7, 11, 17, 26. Next week’s jackpot is worth €9,900. Tickets can be purchased in the club bar or online at claughaungaa.com.
