CASTLETOWN/BALLYAGRAN GAA CLUB NOTES

Last Man Standing:
The Castletown/Ballyagran Junior Hurling team are running a Last Man Standing competition to help raise much needed funds. Top prize is €500. Cost to enter is €10 per entry. Rules are simple: Pick a team each week to win. If your team wins, you’re through to the next round. Lose or Draw and you’re out! The first Gameweek will be the weekend of 19th February 2022. To enter, please contact any member of the Junior Hurling Team before the deadline Friday at 5pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
CTB GAA Club Lotto:
The numbers drawn for last week’s lotto draw for €7,200 on Thursday, February 10th were 1, 13, 16 and 23 with no outright winner. Lucky dip winners were €50 – Margaret O’Brien, Ballyagran; €20 –Nora Fitzgerald, Castletown; €20 – Tom Carroll, Castletown: €20 – Carmel O’Sullivan, Ballyagran (Online). Next Lotto draw for €7,300 will take place on Thursday, February 17th. The CLUB Limerick draw will resume in March 2022. CPR/AED Training:
The Ballyagran Community Defibrillator committee are organising CPR/AED training which will take place in Ballyagran Community Hall on the 22nd or 24th March (TBC). If you are interested in booking a place, please contact Tony (087-1267131).
Ballyagran C.C Team Updates:
The club is very busy sorting trainers and teams for 2022. The Junior A team is being coached by Ger McNamara and started back training last week. If you are interested in joining this great bunch of girls, please let us know. All other age groups will be back training in the next few weeks. The Under 14 team will be joined with Croagh/Kilfinny again this year for league, feile and championship. We will be fielding our own Under 16 team this year. Ger McNamara and Timmy Byrnes will be taking charge of these young ladies. Our minor girls will be playing with Tournafulla again this year. We welcome all our girls back. We also welcome newcomers to the club. Contact any member of the club, or message us on our social media page if you wish to join. Ballyagran C. C. Split the Bucket:
Congratulations to Paulina Mysliwiec who won €410 in February’s Split the Bucket. The Camogie Club will hold their next draw for Split the Bucket on Tuesday, March 1st. You can purchase a ticket for just €2. Envelopes for the draw are available at the following shops: Dolans, O’Gorman’s Foodstore (Granagh), the Creamery, Carlos’s chipper, Donnellan’s Bar and Foley’s Bar. You can now do Split the Bucket online through the following link https://pay.myeasypay.com/myeasypay1.aspx?id=920. There is also a QR code that you can access with the camera on your phone which will take you directly to the online site. These are posted in the local shops.
