CAMOGUE ROVERS GAA CLUB NOTES
MIKEY DORAN FUNDRAISER
The following is taken from the GoFundMe page for 32 counties in 24 hours in memory of Mikey.
On the 18th of February 2020 we lost a dear friend – Mikey Doran. He was known all over limerick and further afield for his talented bar skills and kind ways. This year on the 9th of July we are travelling 32 counties in 24 hours in his memory we hope to raise as much as possible for the Irish Heart Foundation and keep his memory well and truly alive please donate as little or as much as possible every little helps
The link to the fundraising page can be found on Facebook. Mikey played GAA with Camogue and was a loyal supporter when not playing. He also had a fine underage career with Bruff in both hurling and football. RIP Mikey
FRAMED SCROLL
Thanks to the Mayor of Limerick Michael Collins who last week presented the club with a framed scroll in recognition of assistance to the community during the pandemic.
HURLING
County league V Bruree from Sunday June 20th ended in a draw, congratulations to John Foley and Thomas Lillis on making their debuts.
FOOTBALL
We played Galbally on Monday 21st June and came away with a 2 point win on a scoreline of 1-12 to 13 points, Sean Ryan scoring the decisive goal midway through the second half.
FOOTBALL SOUTH FINAL
The 2020 South JB football final will be played on Friday night with venue TBC. Check the newspaper and Facebook for confirmation of fixture throw in time. Contact Ritchie for a ticket all support appreciated.
CLUB FUNDRAISER
Last person standing – competition will run for the upcoming GAA inter county championship. The club will select 2 games each weekend and you must correctly predict the winning teams in order to progress to the following week. Beginning first weekend of July.
