CAHERLINE GAA CLUB NOTES
GAA LOTTO: No winner, numbers drawn were 5, 6, 19, 26. Lucky dip winners were Catherine Bourke, Helen Daly, Marian Higgins, Sibh & Majella Ryan and Phillip Mulready. Next weeks jackpot will be €2,200 and the draw will be held on Friday night in Mulcahys Bar.
JUNIOR A HURLING: It wasn’t our day on Saturday in the Junior A County Quarter Final – Croagh-Kilfinny did the basics very well and deserved the win – final score Caherline 0-15, Croagh-Kilfinny 0-19. The lads are obviously disappointed with the result, but we’d like to thank them for their efforts all year. Thanks also to Mike, Francie & Derek for their effort and commitment over the season. Special mention to Dolly Fitz for looking after the gear, John Hickey for looking after the timber & Katie Lynch for first aid.
MINOR HURLING: Our East/City Minor A final was called off last Sunday, as no referee turned up. No new fixture announced yet, we should hear something in the coming days.
U-12 HURLING: It was a dirty evening for hurling, but our U-12’s didn’t care and put on a great display of hurling in Maguire’s Field in UL against Templeglantine last Friday evening. Well done to all the players, great to see 21 players togged off. Well done to the coaches too, Brendan, Mark, Ian & Peter, great to see all of your work paying off.
