Bruree GAA and Community Lotto:
Our Lotto draw took place on September 30th Unfortunately we had no winners. The numbers drawn were: 8, 22, 28, 30. Club Limerick Draw:
The club limerick draw took place on September 28th. Unfortunately, we had no winners.
Joining this draw is of huge benefit to the club and you can join at any time. It is €10 per month with €5 going to Bruree GAA. Each month there is a €10,000 prize plus twenty-nine additional cash prizes each month and one Star Prize. County Semi Final:
On a windswept Saturday the 5th of October in Bruff our Intermediate hurlers took on Knockainey in the County Quarter Final. From the start it was clear that this match would be defined by inches and not miles. Bruree were dominating the game at half time 1-8 to 0-4 bolstered by 1-1 from Brian Sexton.
The second half would see Bruree start well against a strong breeze, scoring two points inside of the first five minutes. Knockainey would use the breeze to their advantage, narrowing the gap to Bruree to two points with five minutes to go. Bruree defended well in this period to not concede and stretched the gap to three points eventually ending the match victorious.
Bruree’s forwards prolific scoring in the first half coupled with the backs’ ability to soak up pressure in the second half was the winning of this game. Bruree’s use of their bench also contributed to this emphatic victory.
Following this win, our Intermediate hurlers advance to a county semi final against Murroe Boher. This match will take place on Saturday October 12th in Fedamore at 16:30.
