BRUFF GAA CLUB NOTES
Lotto
There was no winner of last weeks Lotto Jackpot. The numbers drawn were: 9, 17, 19 and 27. The Lucky Dip winners were €50 Sinead Corbett and €20 went to each of the following: Triona Doherty, Eily Browne, Joan Lynch, Aine O’Donoghue, Ger Whelan, Martin Treacy, Mike Clancy, Tristan, Aidan & Catherine and Ian Hanley. This week the Jackpot is €17,000. Thank you for your continued support.
U11 Hurling
Well done to our U-11 hurlers who had a wonderful day of hurling in the Jack O’Sullivan Memorial Blitz in Ballyhea last weekend. Despite the poor weather conditions the boys gave it their all playing Na Piarsaigh of Cork, Ballyhea and St. Kevins. Well done boys. Thanks to Ballyhea Gaa for the invite and their excellent hospitality.
U21 Hurling
The U21 Hurlers played Murroe Boher last Sunday afternoon in the second round of the Championship. The team was Darren Naughton, Daire O’ Brien, David Mulqueen, Eoin Murphy, Gavin Bracken, Kevin Bonar, Oisin Mulqueen, Patrick Finn, Darragh Butler, Killian Bennett, Sean Murnane, Colm O’ Loughlin, Gearoid O’ Leary, Josh Keating, Paudie Mulcahy, Conor Hynes, Evan O’ Neill, James Callinan (injured) and Danny O’ Leary (injured). Two subs used. The scorers were Josh Keating (0-14, 0-7F), Paudie Mulcahy (0-2), Kevin Bonar (0-2F), Patrick Finn (1-0), Gavin Bracken (0-1), Sean Murnane (0-1) and Colm O’ Loughlin (0-1). The final score was Bruff 1-21 Murroe Boher 3-8.
Junior B Hurling
The Junior Hurlers played Na Piarsaigh last Saturday afternoon in the County Quarter Final. The team was Cormac Daly, James Callinan, Pat O’ Neill, David Mulqueen, Niall Brosnan, Tim O’ Sullivan, Gregory Dempsey, Tony Burke, Killian Bennett, Kyle Dillon, Cian Madden, Oisin Mulqueen, Gearoid O’ Leary, Bradley McNamara, John Bulfin, Paudie Mulcahy, Barry Manton, Darren Naughton, Evan O’ Neill, Eoin Murphy, Michael Lundon and Tony Clancy. Two subs used. The scorers were Kyle Dillon (0-8, 6F), Barry Manton (1-0), Cian Madden (0-2), Gearoid O’ Leary (0-1), Gregory Dempsey (0-2), Bradley McNamara (0-2) and John Bulfin (0-1). The final score was Bruff 1-16 Na Piarsaigh 0-15.
AGM
Bruff GAA AGM is scheduled for Monday, November 22nd in the Clubhouse at 8pm. Mass for deceased members will be held prior to the meeting, commencing at 7.30pm. Nominations and motions need to be sent to the secretary by Friday November 19th.
Club Fundraiser
Bruff GAA presents Stars in their Eyes Volume II. Our Lip Sync Battle is going to take place in Charleville Park Hotel on February 5th, 2022. If you’re up for the challenge rehearsals start this Friday night, November 5th in the Clubhouse at 8pm. All entrants welcome. We had a great night the first time around, so let’s do it all again!!!
