Today has been a very emotional day for everyone in the club, a guard of honour from our youngsters announced the arrival of the teams, and our fabulous team were given a standing ovation when leaving the field at the end by very proud supporters and family of the very hardworking panel and management. The Club had a big match to host today and huge compliments go to Chairman Fintan Leahy who organised the preparations for the field and facilities today and to everyone in the adult club and Bord na nOg who worked hard to have the place looking so well. Compliments to Hugh Murphy for the programme, and Seoirse Bulfin for doing MC for the day. We were kindly given the use of the playschool facilities today for our Referee and Munster Council officials, many thanks to the Playschool for their excellent facilities. Donie O’Sullivan provided the sound equipment and Cliodhna Moloney and Ciara Flanagan sang the National Anthem. To all the Club members and Committee who worked hard all week to have the Michael Fox Memorial Park in fine order and everyone who stewarded, made sandwiches etc a huge thanks.
