Deep Regrets and Sadness at the Death of former Club Player Eddie O Keeffe:
There was widespread deep regret and sadness with the news of the death of Eddie O’Keeffe
Mortalstown, Ardpatrick who died suddenly but peacefully on Thursday October 9th in Dubai.
Beloved son to his broken hearted mother Catherine. Eddie will be forever missed by his devastated family including his father Tim, brother and best friend Timothy, sisters Belinda and Rosemary, heartbroken girlfriend Caroline, Tim’s wife Marie, brothers in law Brian, Andrew and Timothy’s partner Lyanna, adoring nieces and nephew Aoibhín, Réigha and Tiernan, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and many close friends, team mates and Amazon colleagues, to whom Sincere Sympathy is extended. Eddie was a very popular young man locally before leaving to go abroad, he was a playing member of Blackrock GAA club hurling and football teams over the years. May Eddie Rest in Peace. Funeral arrangements later.

Blackrock GAA club lotto draw was held on Thursday night last October 16th.
The numbers drawn were 3, 8, 9 and 29. Jackpot was not won.

U14 side continue good form:
On Sunday last October 19th, Blackrock Under 14 Hurlers had an early morning start when they lined in the 2025 Super 10’s Hurling Competition in Kilbreedy and scored three wins out of the three, defeating Cois Laoi Gaels, Garryspillane and Kilmallock to advance to the next round of the competition. Well Done to all involved
U20 Hurlers in action on Sunday:
On this Sunday October 26th Blackrock Under 20 Hurlers will make the journey to Ardagh to play St. Kieran’s in County Under 20 ‘B’ Hurling Championship group 4 round 2 at 4pm.
Golf Success for Blackrock GAA Club in Killarney:
Well done to the Blackrock GAA Club Team of Ger Heelin, Jim McDonnell, Patrick Sheehy and Mike McCarthy. who are the winners of the 2025 Circet sponsored All Ireland GAA golf challenge and the recipients of the Waterford Glass Liam McCarthy Trophy which was played Killarney on Thursday and Friday last.
