Blackrock GAA club lotto draw was held on Thursday night last August 7th.
The numbers drawn were 5, 6, 17 and 30. The Jackpot was not won.

Under 16 Hurlers prove best to overcome Knockainey:
Blackrock Under 16 hurlers scored a comprehensive win over Knockainey in Mr Binman County Under 16 hurling championship division 3A round 4 game played at The Michael Fox Memorial Park on Tuesday last August 5th. on a scoreline of 4.24 to 1.06
 Blackrock aided by the breeze in the opening half took control from the throw in and led at the break by 2.11 to 0.02, the goals coming from Conor Philpott while Jack Roche Luke Gleeson Conor Nunan and Tommie Murphy were among the point scorers. The second half saw the home side continue to dominate and added a further 2.13 to their total, the goals coming Jack Roche and Conor Nunan to give their side a well-deserved victory. Team Alex Fitzgerald, Michael Hennessy, Adam Kelly, Jamie Bequri, J. J. O’Donnell, Darragh Gleeson, Noah Ryan, Tommy Murphy, Darragh Drake, Gearoid Flanagan, Jack Roche, Ethen Penny, Luke Gleeson, Conor Nunan and Conor Philpott. Subs introduced Jack Murphy and Philip Fitzgerald. Blackrock will play Glenroe in Round 1 re-fixture on this Friday August 15th. in Ballylanders at 6.30pm, whiile on Monday next August 18th. they play Garryspillane in Knocklong at 7pm.
Junior ‘B’ Hurlers overcome Bruff in South Championship:
On Tuesday evening last August 5th. in Bruff, Blackrock got their South Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship campaign off to a winning start scoring a 1.27 to 0.15over Bruff.   From the start it was the visitors who were on top and enjoyed the lead at the break by 1.15 to 0.08.  Adrian Bequiri the goal scorer The second half was a closer contest with Blackrock  outscoring the opponents by 0.10 to 0.08 to run out comfortable winners   Blackrock  will play Staker Wallace in Round on Wednesday   August  20th. at The Michael Fox Memorial Park at 7pm.
Premier Intermediate lost out to Effin in County Championship:
The Premier Intermediate hurlers lost out to Effin in Lyons of Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship game played in Fitzgerald Park in Kilmallock on Friday evening August 8th.on score line Effin 3.30 Blackrock 4.15
 Effin that were the early pacesetters and raced into a 0.09 to 0.05 lead in the opening quarter, Jimmy Quilty and Paudie Leahy were the Blackrock scorers. Both sides exchanged points, Jimmy Quilty from a free while Colm O’Keeffe registered two from play before Effin scored their first goal of the game after twenty two minutes of play, Jimmy Quilty added a point before Paudie Leahy scored his opening goal for Blackrock. Patrick O’Donovan pointed a free for Effin and they had a chance to increase their lead but the effort from Tommie Quaid went just wide of the upright as the Referee sounded the half time whistle with the score board reading Efffin 1.13 Blackrock 1.09. On the resumption of play, Effin added a pointed free, which Paudie Leahy replied with a similar score from play followed by a pointed free from Jimmy Quilty, before Effin second their goal followed by a point to give Effin 2.15 to 1.11 advantage midway into the second half. Blackrock hit back with a goal from Callan Ensor and points from Killian Ahern and Colm O’Keeffe free to reduce the deficit to two points Effin added apoint. At this stage Blackrock increased  the intensity, Colm O’Keeffe reduced the deficit with a point from play, after 47 minutes of play, they kept up the pressure and were awarded a penalty which Paudie Leahy dispatched to the net to put Blackrock into a one point lead which was short lived as Effin replied with their  third goal immediately to restore a two point lead, the goal scoring spree was to continue as Paudie  Leahy scored his third goal to restore a one point lead. Effin, replied with points from play before Shane Philpot scored the equalising point for Blackrock with time running out, Effin won two late frees which were converted   to give Effin well merited victory

Under 14 hurlers remain unbeaten to reach Knockout stages:
On a bright and sunny Monday eveningAugust 11th at the Michael Fox Memorial Park, in Mr. Binman County Under 14 Hurling Championship Division 3A round 6 Blackrock hosted Hospital Herbertstown and after a well contested game it was the home side that scored a 6.07 to 1.05 to remain unbeaten and reach Knockout stages. It a game where Blackrock dominated the opening half aided by the breeze to lead at the interval by 2.03 to 0.02 the scores coming from Luke Gleeson (I.02), Jack Murphy (1.00) and Alex Fitzgerald (0.01f). On the restart Hospital/Herbertstown opened the scoring with point, they kept up the pressure for a brief spell but the Blackrock defence held firm as they did in the opening half, Billy O’Brien point and Logan Ryan goal increased the Blackrock lead before Hospital/Herbertstown scored two points from play, both sides exchanged goals, Luke Gleeson the Blackrock scorer, the home side finished strong, scoring 2.03   before Referee Johnny Murphy sounded the final whistle.
