Limerick Senior Football Championship

The draw for the revamped Limerick Senior Football Championship took place recently and we were drawn in a group with Newcastle West & Drom/Broadford. We are not in action in Round 1 but will meet the losers of the Newcastle West & Drom/Broadford match in Round 2 before playing the winner of that match in Round 3.

No dates have been fixed yet for Rounds 2 & 3. Round 1 is set to take place the weekend of August 15th.

Round 1: Newcastle West vs Drom/Broadford

Round 2: Ballysteen vs Loser of Round 1

Round 3: Ballysteen vs Winner of Round 1

Covid Match Day Guidelines

As Limerick GAA returns to competitive action this weekend and in the coming weeks, our teams will also return to Championship action.
Government guidelines for Phase 3 in regards outdoor gatherings are applied to GAA fixtures. This means that no more than 200 people can be in attendance at a Championship fixture. Therefore, admission to upcoming Championship fixtures will be ticketed. This guideline is in place until August 10th.
We are hopeful that this guideline may be eased from August 10th so that as many of our members and supporters will be able to go to our Championship fixtures. However, if demand for tickets exceeds supply of allocation the Club receives for matches, a draw will be necessary to distribute tickets.
We know that this may come as a disappointment to some supporters, however, we are in the fortunate position that our opening Championship match will take place after August 10th.
We will monitor and update on the situation in the coming weeks here on facebook, twitter and weekly club notes when that information becomes available.

Junior Hurling Championship

Hard luck to Askeaton who were defeated by Kilteely/Dromkeen last Saturday evening. Best wishes to players & management who take on Patrickswell in Round 2 this coming week.
