BALLYSTEEN GAA CLUB NOTES

Club Limerick Draw
Ballysteen GAA Club is now promoting the Club Limerick Draw for 2020. Cost €100 for 10 monthly draws first draw in April. By joining the draw, you have a chance to win 31 prizes monthly ranging from €10000 to €100. Your membership of Ballysteen GAA Club entitles you to be included in a draw for tickets for matches where demand exceeds supply i.e. Munster & All Ireland Finals etc.

As an incentive for members who pay the full subscription before the end of February. Will be entered in a club draw for €100. Your subscription of which Ballysteen GAA receives €50 will be used to run the club and facilitate the training of our teams.

Club Membership
For anyone who doesn’t want to join the Club Limerick Draw cost of Club Membership for 2020 will be €50 (Adult) & €25 (Minor). This will cover training and insurance costs for players and give priority for All Ireland tickets when necessary. Members can also join together to take part in the Limerick Club draw by combining their €50 membership and be in with chance of winning cash prizes every month. Cheltenham Tipping Competition
Ballysteen GAA is delighted to announce the return of our Cheltenham Tipping Competition with a guaranteed First Prize of €400, runner up prizes for 2nd & 3rd along with a spot prize for the entrant who picks the most winners throughout the week. Entry is priced at €10

EASTER FOOTBALL CAMP

Danny Neville is hosting an Easter Football Camp from April 8th to 10th at Ballysteen GAA Field.

Upcoming County Football League fixtures have been fixed for the following dates.

Home versus Fr. Casey’s, Saturday February 29th, 2020. Throw in 3pm.
Away to Na Piarsaigh, Saturday March 7th, 2020. Throw in 3pm.
Home versus Galbally, Saturday March 14th, 2020. Throw in 3pm.

Intercounty Action
Well done to the Limerick U20 footballers who recorded a one point victory over Tipperary in the Munster Championship last week. In the National Leagues, both Limerick sides maintained their 100% records with impressive victories over Cork (hurling) and Wicklow (football). Danny Neville top scored for Limerick with 1-01 from play. Well done to both teams. The footballers travel north to Antrim next Sunday, while the hurlers welcome Westmeath to Pairc na nGael.

Parish GAA Book
The Club will be releasing a book on the history of the GAA in the Askeaton-Ballysteen parish. If anyone has old photographs or stories regarding GAA in the parish, contact Paul Anglim.

PATRONS FOR PARISH GAA BOOK

Ballysteen GAA club are looking for patrons for the upcoming book by Paul Anglim documenting the history of the GAA in the parish of Askeaton-Ballysteen. The book will be over 400 pages long and there will substantial printing costs. There will be a patron’s page in the book and Ballysteen GAA club are appealing for individuals to contribute €50. For €50, the person’s name will appear on the patron’s page and they will receive a book worth €20. All proceeds will go towards Ballysteen GAA to help cover printing costs.
