BALLYSTEEN GAA CLUB NOTES
Club Limerick Draw
Ballysteen GAA Club is now promoting the Club Limerick Draw for 2020. Cost €100 for 10 monthly draws first draw in April. By joining the draw, you have a chance to win 31 prizes monthly ranging from €10000 to €100. Your membership of Ballysteen GAA Club entitles you to be included in a draw for tickets for matches where demand exceeds supply i.e. Munster & All Ireland Finals etc.
As an incentive for members who pay the full subscription before the end of February. Will be entered in a club draw for €100. Your subscription of which Ballysteen GAA receives €50 will be used to run the club and facilitate the training of our teams.

Club Membership
For anyone who doesn’t want to join the Club Limerick Draw cost of Club Membership for 2020 will be €50 (Adult) & €25 (Minor). This will cover training and insurance costs for players and give priority for All Ireland tickets when necessary. Members can also join together to take part in the Limerick Club draw by combining their €50 membership and be in with chance of winning cash prizes every month. Cheltenham Tipping Competition
Ballysteen GAA is delighted to announce the return of our Cheltenham Tipping Competition. This has proved to be a very successful fundraiser for the club over the last number of years and has been received with plenty of enjoyment by entrants. With just over a month to go to the festival, we are finalizing prize details but cost of entry is set at €10. For those living abroad, we will open an online portal for entries to be made on our website, www.ballysteengaa.ie. Fixtures
Upcoming County Football League fixtures have been fixed for the following dates.
Home versus Fr. Casey’s, Saturday February 29th, 2020. Throw in 3pm.
Away to Na Piarsaigh, Saturday March 7th, 2020. Throw in 3pm.
Home versus Galbally, Saturday March 14th, 2020. Throw in 3pm.
National Leagues
Well done to the Limerick Senior Footballers who recorded a hard fought League victory against Carlow on Sunday. Danny Neville played the full 70 minutes and scored a point.
The smash and grab result means Limerick have won their opening three games of the league and sit atop with 6 points. Well done to all involved.
Next up is the visit of Wicklow on Sunday week. Fixture details are to be confirmed.
Best of luck to the Limerick hurlers, who welcome Waterford to the Gaelic Grounds this weekend. Throw in on Saturday is at 7pm. You can purchase your tickets at local Supervalu and Centra stores in advance.
Parish GAA Book
The Club will be releasing a book on the history of the GAA in the Askeaton-Ballysteen parish. If anyone has old photographs or stories regarding GAA in the parish, contact Paul Anglim.
