BALLYSTEEN GAA CLUB NOTES

Senior Football

Preparations for the opening two rounds of the Senior Football Championship continued last weekend as we played St. Kieran’s. Once again this was a good workout for both teams and we would like to thank St. Kieran’s for making their way down to Ballysteen for the match.

All roads lead to Kilmallock (3pm throw-in) this Saturday as we begin our Championship campaign against Ballylanders. The last time we played Ballylanders was in the County Quarter Final stage last year where a last-minute goal denied us a place in a County Semi Final.

Best of luck to our panel of players, led by Anthony Ryan, Danny Fitzgerald, Cathal Anglim and John Neville, with John Blackwell as S&C coach, and co-captained by Danny Neville and Mark Ranahan. The players have put in a massive effort over the last number of months and deserve support for the coming Championship.
