BALLYSTEEN GAA CLUB NOTES

Junior Football

Our Junior Footballers are back in a West Junior B Football Championship Final for the first time since 2014 after a fantastic victory over Granagh/Ballingarry in the semi-final last weekend. Played at Mick Neville Park, there was little to separate the sides throughout but a strong finish saw us run out 3-point winners on a full-time score of 2-10 to 2-7.

We now face Knockaderry in the Final with fixture details still to be confirmed. It has been a fantastic achievement from players and management to get to the stage and hopefully we can recapture the title we last won in 2014.

Team: J. Moran; C. Anglim, A. O’Shaughnessy, E. Condon; R. Somers, R. Whelan, C. Daly; P. Vaughan, D. Holland; M. Neville, D. Ryan, A. McGrath; P. Doyle, A. Ryan, P. Neville.

Subs: G. O’Donnell, J. Blackwell, C. Rushe, J. Hartigan, M. Griffin, K. Barry.
