SENIORS
Bruff was the venue for our round two of the senior football championship vs St Senan’s & after a heavy defeat to Ballysteen in round one a win here was of high importance before the summer break and from the first whistle to the last the lads lead the way to secure the two points with Steve Fox landing the crucial goal in the second half.Jimmy Barry Murphy hit an impressive seven points to help us to the 1-15 to 0-12 victory.Team & scorers;Declan O’Connor,Maurice Kelly,Shane Fox,Jason Leigh (0-1),Tom O’Dywer,Steve Walsh,Eoin Martin,Mark O’Connell (0-1),Liam Martin,David McCarthy (0-2),Ciaran Kelly (0-2),Danny Frewen (0-1),Jimmy Barry Murphy (0-7),Eoin Walsh,Steve Fox (1-1).Subs used;Donal Kelly,Eamon O’Mahony,Darren McCarthy,Micheál O’Rourke.Attention now turns to the Glenroe hurlers over the next two weekends so we wish them the best of luck for the season ahead.

The lotto draw took place in An Poc Fada on Saturday night for an €11,800 jackpot,there was no winner,Lucky dip winners were Helen Brown,Gerry Keating Snr,Tom & Selene Tobin,Pa Sheehy & Julie McGuire.The next draw takes place on Saturday 20th of April in the clubhouse for an €12,000 jackpot.
Our assigned dog “Toolmaker me dad” qualified for the semi finals of the Con & Ainne cup last Saturday night so fingers crossed he will make it through to the final on Easter Saturday night.
