BALLYLANDERS

Our Senior footballers suffered another defeat in the Limerick senior football championship last Friday evening in Caherconlish against a well drilled Kildimo Pallaskenry side which leaves us bottom of the group now with two games remaining. Two goals in the opening half from Jimmy Barry Murphy and Shane O’Donoghue had us only three points at the break but Kildimo dominated the second half and only for a Ciaran Kelly goal near the end was the only highlight. Full time score was Ballylanders 3-05 Kildimo Pallaskenry 3-17. The lads need to regroup now again and prepare for another big challenge against Adare on Friday evening in Fenagh at 6:30pm. Team and scorers; Declan O’Connor, Pa Holian, Donal Kelly, Steve Walsh, Liam Dehenny, Shaun Moloney, Tom O’Dywer, Pa Shanahan, Eoin O’Mahony, Steve Fox, Jimmy Barry Murphy (1-1), Danny Frewen (0-2), Shane O’Donoghue (1-0), Eoin Walsh, Ciaran Kelly (1-2). Subs used, Osin Brown, Cillien O’Brien, Killian Meade and Jason Leigh.
Our Junior B team made it three wins from three on Tuesday evening away to Galtee Gaels with a comprehensive 0-13 to 1-04 win. Their next fixture is at home to Croom on Tuesday August 30th at 7pm.
