BALLYLANDERS

Shave For Dave
On Saturday night last the clubhouse was a hive of activity as family and friends came together to remember the late Dave Walsh. Matt O Callaghan kicked off the proceedings before the Irish Examiner podcast trio of Anthony Daly, Mark Landers and TJ Ryan took to the stage to give us plenty of insight into the hurling season so far. Then it was the turn of the bearded men who were introduced to the hall by Patrick Croinin on the bagpipes to go under the razor blades. The Dogging Bullets finished off the proceedings playing late into the night. A massive thank you to everyone who worked so hard in putting this event together, the bar staff, all the men who grew beards over the last few weeks and to everyone who supported the event on the night. It was great to see Ballylanders and Garryspillane coming together to pay respect for a man who had supported both clubs all his life.
Judy O Connor
On Saturday evening the sad news broke that Judy O Connor had sadly passed away. Judy had a long relationship with Ballylanders Gaa as a coach to various underage teams as well as an officer of the club. To her husband Liam, sons Liam and Declan, daughter Siobhàn and their extended families we offer our deepest condolences to you all. Ar dheis de go raibh a hanam.
