Saturday the U15 lads played against near neighbours Mungret in the Sheild Final. As always against our neighbours a hard-fought game leaving us a couple of points short for a win. Well done to the lads of a great season.
Annual Duck Race:
Once again we had a fantastic day at our annual duck race. We must have had loads of prayers for good weather because the sun shone all day long on us and we saw none of the torrential rain that seemed to fall all around us. Thanks to all the families who came back and supported us on the day and also to all who sold and bought lines on the duck cards. Many thanks as always to John, Helen and all the staff in Quinn’s De Bucket Bar & Restaurant for hosting us – and been so helpful in every aspect. Thanks to Mick Roberts for giving his afternoon to give us all a running commentary and many laughs in what has become an annual tradition for him too
Thanks to Catherine Hall who came to help me on the BBQ and ably fill the big shoes of Joe …. Joe who??? Thanks to the lads on the river – without them we wouldn’t get the ducks launched and going
Thanks to our sponsors of prizes as always please support these local businesses when you can:
1st Mark Smith (Sponsored by Quinn’s De Bucket Bar and Restaurant
2nd Ella Shanahan ( Sponsored by Hayes Foodstore)
3rd Catherine Keane (Sponsored by Regional Oil)

Lastly thanks to the Juvenille Comittee led by Richie – without the lads to pull this togeather in the weeks leading up to it and on the day it wouldn’t be possible.
