FEILE Football – Well done to our U15 Feile Team this morning. We travelled to Ballybricken/Bohermore pitch for 3 games. In our first game we were second best to a strong Hospital/Herbertstown team. In our second game we played Crecora/Manister. We played with the wind in the first half and put up a good score to lead at half time. Crecora/Manister came back in the second half with an early goal, our lads battled away into the wind and kept the scoreboard moving to get a good victory. Our last game was up against our hosts who had won their two previous games. We played against the wind and found scores difficult to come by, in the second half we battled hard and scored an early goal to settle us. We came within one point and couldn’t get that extra score to draw level in the end. Thanks to Ballybricken/Bohermore for hosting the Tournament and best of luck to them in tomorrow’s semi final.
PARISH LEAGUE – What a fantastic Day at the Parish League on St Patricks Day. Huge Credit goes to the Senior lads who came up with the idea and put all the hard work in – definitely an annual event now. Super to see over 70 men from all corners of the parish come together to give us all 3 great matches – I think we’ll all agree after a most difficult 2 years it was a day we all needed in the Club. Thanks to Mike Mann and his merry men for staying neutral throughout
Thank you to the Sponsors of each team and everyone who purchased tickets in the raffle. Congratulations to Davy Lyons who received the Man of the Match award – sponsored by Centra – Brian O’Sullivan and Michael Byrnes AND FINALLY congratulations to Ferrybridge – enjoy your year with the cup because it won’t be long before Corcamore, Newtown and Ballycarney will be out looking for revenge…..
