MINOR PREMIER CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS FOR THE SECOND YEAR –

This was the game of the year for the Premier Minor Hurlers in LIT Gaelic Grounds in as near perfect conditions as you could get. It was Wednesday 16 September 2020 when they met Mungret in the County Final. The added bonus was Spectator numbers had risen the day before. It took a goal from Colin Coughlan to settle the lads and from there it was a game of tit for tat. The game was level on many occasions in the first half and went to half time break level. Ballybrown got the first point after the break and just went on to show a massive display of skill and determination. Each player gave it their all to drive it home and win on a score of Ballybrown 3-23 Mungret St. Pauls 0-20. A huge Congratulation to the lads and management on securing the Premier title for the second year running.

JUNIOR B – good luck to the lads who play Na Piarsaigh in a semifinal in Rhebogue on Tuesday night. Entrance will be strictly by all tickets according to Covid Guidelines.

CLUBHOUSE BAR -We are delighted at last to be saying THE CLUBHOUSE BAR will OPEN on Monday 21st at 6pm.We will be applying the 2 meter rule so no need to book. We are sure with everyone’s cooperation things will run smoothly. Please make yourself aware of all government guidelines regarding the Covid Guidelines–Will need a name and number of lead customer for contact tracing.-Please respect social distancing when entering and leaving the pub.-Table service only.-Max of 6 persons per table- All persons must also be off the premises by 11.30pm. All these are subject to change when we figure out what works best for both customers and Conor & staff. This is brand new to all of us but I’m sure together we can make this a success. We are going to give this 100% and all we ask is for your support and patience with sanitizing,etc etc…THE BAR HAS BEEN TRANSFORMED THAN TO CONOR AND MANY VOLUNTEERS – we thank them all for their time and hope you enjoy been back. Updated opening hours will be posted on Facebook on Monday.

FOOTBALL – our U14 team were in a semifinal this weekend and our Junior A footballers in a 1/4 final. On the day neither team were successful but non the less a great season for both teams and managements so well done to all.
