U21s:Ballybricken/ Bohermore and Fedamore played the last round of the U21 championship group phase were they lost out to a strong Murroe Boher team 1-18 to 1-08. Played in Fedamore our opponents scored a goal early to put us on the back foot but we battled hard and began to break even in the middle third and long range points from Michael Martin kept us in touch. Our defence was under massive pressure at stages but apart from the early goal we kept our opponents out with an excellent display from the battling defence and in particular keeper Thomas Moyles. Just before half time we got a goal of our own with Owen O Neill finishing to the net leaving us trailing at half time 1-8 to 1-4 with us very much in contention at the break. The second period was again well contested for large parts but we could not get enough scores and Murroe pulled away from us in the closing stages as we tried to push on to get back in contention, a good effort from the 15 togged on the day who now qualify for the U21B final next weekend against Kilteely Dromkeen. Team from: Thomas Moyles Colm O Riordan Eoin Kloos Adam MaCarthy Jack Ownes Patrick Byrnes Darragh O Keefe Cian Enright Michael Martin 0-2 Owen O Neil 1-0 Gearoid Mitchell 0-1 Ryan Hickey Daniel Owens 0-5 Cillian MaCarthy.
