BALLYBRICKEN/BOHERMORE GAA CLUB NOTES

U21s: Ballybricken Bohermore/Fedamore recorded our second win of the group stages on Sunday last against Templeglantine. Played in Caherelly one of the few pitches open in the county we got off to a good start with Niall Mitchell finishing to the net after an excellent team move. We ticked on another few scores with Daniel Owens on song from placed balls and a monster score from the impressive Cillin O Brien, however we missed a few opportunities and the opposition took the momentum from us and grew into the game converting their chances from frees leaving the half-time score 1-06 to 0-6 in our favour. The second period began with Templeglantine putting our defence under some considerable pressure but we held out and our second goal came midway through the half after good work from Lee Gavin to set up Daniel Owens to finish to the net extending our lead to six. Credit to our lads who finished out the game strongly maintaining a clean sheet in defence and adding another goal from the determined Jack Duggan. There is one more fixture in the group against Drom Broadford to be played in the next week or two. Team from Thomas Moyles, Colm O Riordan, Patrick Byrnes, Jack Duggan, Cian Enright, Michael Martin, Cillin O Brien, Colin Haigney, Niall Mitchell, Adam McCarthy, Darragh O Keefe, Hugh O Donnell, Ruairi Cahill, Daniel Owens, Lee Gavin, Jamie Slater, Arron Hickey

Training : Our outdoor adult training will commence this week on Tuesday and Friday nights with the hurling wall in use over the next few weeks, with fixtures for minor adult hurling and football to commence in around April.
