U21 football: Ballybricken Bohermore/Fedamore who are joined at u21 level played Oola last Saturday in a rain sodden Caherelly losing out 2-10 to 2-04. The game was fairly evenly contested and the sides were level at 2 a piece after the first quarter with our scores coming from Adam Shire and Jason Cross. The next ten minutes our opponents came on top and got 2 goals in quick succession we struck back with a goal of our own with an excellent finish from Jason Cross after a good run by Eoghan O Neill leaving us trailing harshly 2-06 to 1-02 at the break. The second half began with a score from Darragh O Keefe but Oola struck back with a couple more scores. From their on we dominated the game with much of the action taking place in our attacking half, Dylan Conway struck for a deserved goal with a neat finish followed up by a point from Jason Cross. Despite our best efforts and hard work we could not reduce the deficit any further as we lost out by 6 points at the full time whistle. Next up is Pallasgreen in a couple of weeks’ time.
