Junior A Hurling:
Our junior A hurlers faces Kileedy in windy conditions in Martinstown on Sunday. Ballybricken started well against the breeze and points from Niall Martin, Jim Hickey and Conor McCarthy saw Bally go 5-3 ahead. Our scores dried up however, and kileedy started to make better use of the breeze and went in at halftime 9-5 ahead.
Bally came out well in the second half and points from Dan McGuire and Conor McCarthy reduced the lead to 2 points. Killeedy steadied the ship however and Bally were unable to trim the deficite. With the game in the balance Killeedy got a goal to win the game. Final score B/B 0-14 Killeedy 1-15.
Junior B Hurling:
Our junior Bs played Fedamore in Fedamore last Tuesday night. Fedamore started well and got an early goal to get a foothold on the game. Ballybricken rallied well and points from placed balls from Shane O’Neill kept Bally in touch. The second half saw Fedamore extend their lead will done well taken scores. Despite a well taken goal from Alex Gavin, Bally couldn’t get their heads in front. Full time B/B 1-9 Fedamore 3-19.
